Generally, when we see a word we cannot pronounce, recognize or understand, we tend to think it is something foreign or very ethnic. Ethnic is good. We are all of some ethnic origin.

This particular recipe is not well known in North, South or Latin America. It is also unheard of in China, Asia, the Caribbean or the Far East.

However, in the Mediterranean and Middle East regions it is a major part of their cuisine.

Hummos is a dip made from chick peas, tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic and is usually garnished with parsley.

Often served as an appetizer and used as a topping for various Middle Eastern dishes, the most popular of which are falafels.

Mr. Goudas has perfected this exotic taste and has made it available to you. Pick up a can of Mr. Goudas Hummos Tahina and fascinate the guests at your next party.

Simply open the can and empty contents onto a plate. Pour a generous helping of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and blend ingredients together. Garnish with parsley, and serve with flat pita bread, Italian bread or crackers.

In fact, it tastes good with almost anything.

It is sooo good, some people simply use a spoon and eat it as is!

When Mr. Goudas was asked by one of the writers how he became familiar with Hummos or any other Middle Eastern products, he pointed his finger and stated, if you read my Biography, The Immigrant, you would have known that my mother is from Smyrna (Asia Minor) which is the heart of the Middle East.

If you like Chick Peas, then this will become one of your favourites.

You will be the hostess with the mostest!
